Peptide math
Peptide Calculator
Understand concentration math and unit conversions. This guide is a general mathematical reference. It does not provide preparation instructions, recommended quantities, or administration guidance.
Concentration is amount divided by volume
Concentration describes how much material is present in a given volume. The general relationship is concentration = amount ÷ volume. For example, if a fictional sample contains 6 mg in a final volume of 3 mL, its concentration is 2 mg/mL. This is an arithmetic example only, not a preparation or dosing recommendation.
Basic reconstitution formula: Concentration (mg/mL) = Peptide (mg) ÷ Liquid (mL)
Keep the units consistent: dividing milligrams by milliliters gives milligrams per milliliter (mg/mL). To express that same concentration in micrograms per milliliter (mcg/mL), multiply the mg/mL result by 1,000 because 1 mg = 1,000 mcg.

- Solution Concentration
- 5,000 mcg/mL
- 5 mg/mL
- Target Amount
- 250 mcg
- 0.25 mg
How this is calculated
- Peptide (mcg) = peptide (mg) × 1,000
- Concentration (mcg/mL) = peptide (mcg) ÷ diluent volume (mL)
- Target (mcg) = target in mg × 1,000, or the mcg value as entered
- Solution volume (mL) = target (mcg) ÷ concentration (mcg/mL)
- U-100 syringe marking (units) = solution volume (mL) × 100
Assumption: the diluent volume you enter is treated as the final solution volume. Calculations use full precision; only the displayed numbers are rounded, and rounding is always marked with “≈”.

Calculations do not verify compound identity, safety, sterility, or stability. Research-use-only compounds are not intended for human administration.
Why a concentration does not tell you a dose
Concentration is only one property of a solution. It does not establish whether a substance is genuine, sterile, safe, approved, or appropriate for a person. A dose must not be inferred from online claims or from this calculation. Products labeled “research use only” are not approved for human use.
- Do not use this page to choose a dose. The calculated volume is arithmetic only, not an administration instruction.
- Do not rely on an online seller's label or certificate as proof of quality.
- For prescribed medication, use the exact product instructions and have a pharmacist or prescriber verify the calculation.
